FEAview Swept Surface and Volume Gallery

Some swept surfaces. The one in the normal reddish and tan colors has a wire cross-section composed of a parabola and a Catmull-Rom curve.

A design goal was to be able to put the cross-section curve in different orientations as it sweeps along the track curve.

Here are some swept volumes produced by sweeping a surface along a track curve.

The figure in the upper left is a volume produced by a rotational sweep.

A lofted surface between two ruled surfaces is meshed with Hexa elements.
